Comway virtual serial software is used together with 4G DTU/RTU, Ethernet DTU/RTU to help users establish data communication between remote serial port equipment and user computer. Data communication is based on the comway cluster data server system set up by our company on Alibaba cloud server. The system provides users with convenient, stable and reliable data communication services for free.

     RS-485/232 equipment in the industrial field, such as PLC, inverter and flowmeter, can be connected to comway data server through mobile network by 4G DTU/RTU. On any PC that can access the Internet, users can use the original application program based on serial communication, such as Scada software, to process the data of remote serial port equipment. It easily realize the transformation and expansion of the existing application system, and provide a foundation for the construction of new applications based on mobile data communication..

     The comway virtual serial port system is equivalent to having an "infinitely extended serial port line".

• If the computer can access the Internet, it can establish data communication with remote serial port equipment
• Multiple computers can simultaneously monitor the data sent by a serial port device
• Multiple DTU devices can be mapped to a virtual serial port, similar to multiple MODBUS devices connected to a 485 bus
• Provide dtu-dtu mapping to realize point-to-point communication
• It can be set as TCP server side (set listening port) or client side (set IP + port for access), so as to realize the communication between remote serial port equipment and local software based on socket
• Provide API program based on virtual serial software to facilitate customers to connect their own applications effectively.

     In the following interface, select the protocol (Comway protocol), automatically set server address and port (ds.fusionunix.com:9000), select the working mode: Constant, and set the serial port parameters that are completely consistent with the DTU and its connected equipment.

    Run comwaywlserial Exe self extracting files, automatically install comway virtual serial software, and the software can be updated automatically.For specific applications, such as PLC connection Scada software through comway virtual serial software, see relevant instructions for details.

    The following steps are required to use the wireless serial port software correctly：

1. User account creation
2. Change user account password and add DTU device in it
3. Add virtual serial port and intall driver
4. Mapping virtual serial port to DTU
5. Use the serial port debugging tool to test the data communication, and capture the communication data through the terminal information page of the virtual serial software
